The Repti Glo fluorescent bulbs have a higher light output and diversify their energy more efficiently in larger terrariums. Exo Terra has a full range of each type, Repti Glo 2.0, Repti Glo 5.0 and Repti Glo 10.0, in order to meet any terrarium size. The longer sizes can be placed over several terrariums.
The Exo Terra Repti Glo 5.0 has an increased UVB intensity in accordance with shade richer regions such as rain forests and other tropical locations. Reptiles living in these habitats have a reduced need for UV radiation as many elements in these regions block natural sunlight. The humidity impedes the UV rays in tropical areas and also the weather is usually changeable.
