The earth is inhabited by thousands of different varieties of the TRICHODERMA mould. TRICHODERMA harzianum (Tri002/3) is the only variety that has a scientifically-proven stimulating and resistance-increasing effect on the root environment and the chitinase production of the plant resulting in a better root development, more root hairs and increased excretion of enzymes and hormones. As a result the plant gains more vitality and develops much better.

These granules have a positive effect on the production and the growth of the plant because they colonise the mould around the root system. They must be mixed with soil and provide for a strong and balanced growth of the mould. As a result of this, the development of other negative moulds and micro-organisms is greatly reduced.

Visible results of this product are the increased vitality of the plant and that the roots are more developed. TRI 003 is a pure, water-soluble powder that facilitates the growth in young plants as well as in its cuttings and its roots. Ozone (O3) is sometimes called "activated oxygen", it contains three atoms of oxygen rather than the two atoms we normally breathe. Ozone reacts with other gases (smells) and destroys them. As ozone oxidizes/disinfects, it destroys odours, harmful bacteria and contaminants, then reverts to normal oxygen. Ozone is an environmentally friendly alternative to many chemical processes. By applying a electrical discharge to oxygen gas, the oxygen molecules (O2) will be split into atoms. Ozone (O3) is formed by recombination of atomic and molecular oxygen. Stronger odours mean more odour molecules present - therefore more ozone is also needed. Ozone will not filter odours - It destroys them!

A soil warming cable is the ideal way to propagate seeds and cuttings on a greenhouse bench. A simple frame can be constructed from wood to form the propagating area required, which is them lined with polythene. The cable is laid onto a 5cm of horticultural sharp sand and covered with a further 5cm of sand. Alternatively the cable can be laid out on to an insulating material like polystyrene sheet and covered over with tin foil then a layer of polythene and then some felt matting to hold moisture under the seedtrays.

The cable is normally laid in runs 8 cm to 10 cm apart. This layout will allow you to raise the soil temperature by 11-13 C, above the greenhouse ambient. Higher temperatures can be achieved by laying the cable runs as close together as 5cm. In this case a thermostat should be used to precisely control the soil temperature to avoid over heating.
