Cobra Lily (Darlingtonia californica)

Darlingtonia californica is a carnivorous plant from the family Sarraceniaceae. The plant catches mainly small insects. Darlingtonia's occur in mountainous areas up to an altitude of about 2800m. They grow in a cool shady place in spagnumvelden and along streams or streams. The plants catch insects as extra nutrients as they grow in a nutrient-poor soil. The plants can be achieved with a length of 90 cm.

Seeds between damp Sphagnum moss in the refrigerator in a plastic bag 6 weeks laying. Then pressing moss with seeds on the ground mixture of 60% Sphagnum and 40% river sand and cover with clingfilm. Keep completely wet and in a warm, bright place to germinate indoors.
