The taste of home-grown chicory is delicious. Important in the draw / force is that the does not proceed too fast growth, and that the soil in which the roots are put, is poor, thus contains little nitrogen. The cultivation of roots / pins must occur on unfertilised soil.

Sow in May on a driving distance of 35 cm thin out later on 12 cm. The seed should be sown shallow. In late October, early November, the roots can be harvested.
